Dr. Essam Hussain Jiffri is a professor in Clinical Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Technology Department, Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, King Abdul Aziz University, and consultant clinical biochemist at the university hospital, chemistry laboratory. He is King Abdul Aziz University graduate, Faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences. Medical Technology Dept in 1985. He obtained his Msc in Allied Health Profession joined with Medical Technology Program from University of Kentucky, USA in 1992 and PhD in Clinical Biochemistry from Aberdeen University, UK in 1997. He was the head of Medical Laboratory Technology Department from 2010 until 2014, and currently the vice dean of clinicl affair for the faculty of applied medical sciences since 2014. Supervised larg number of student projects, has a larg number of publications, and attended larg number of international and regional conferences and work shops.
